The 21st Annual Webby Awards Announces Nominees - Haneke Design

THE 21ST ANNUAL WEBBY AWARDS ANNOUNCES NOMINEES

Jody Haneke, CEO and Founder of Haneke Design, helped pick the 21st Annual Webby Award Nominees, which received 13,000 entries from over 40 states and 70 countries worldwide

Often referred to as the Oscars® of the Internet, the 21st Annual Webby Awards have announced their nominees for the event. Webby Award Nominees and Winners are selected by members of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences from the best work entered through the Call for Entries. Jody Haneke, our founder and longtime member of the IADAS, helped pick the nominees for the Webby Awards for the 3rd consecutive year.

In addition to executive judges, the Webby’s offer the “People’s Voice” Awards, which is a crowd-sourced portion of the event voted on by the public. Users can login and support their favorite entertainers from 2016 in the following categories:

  • Websites
  • Advertising, Media, & PR
  • Film & Video
  • Mobile Sites & Apps
  • Social
  • Podcasts & Digital Audio

Here’s what has been collected from this year’s voting pool so far:

  • 744,483 votes have been cast.
  • 158,182 users have signed up.
  • 10 days left to vote.
  • Vote for the Webby Awards through April 20th.
    The event does require sign in, but also offers users to login via social media. Once logged in, users can cast votes on the hottest trends in online entertainment.

Some of the most popular categories are Web Personality (Channels and Networks), Science & Education, Activism, Comedy, and Charitable Organizations/Non-Profit.
