Haneke Design Creates Mobile Web Site for ESRB
Regulatory board for interactive entertainment industry sought a mobile solution to give users the ability to check rating information at the point of sale
The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), a non-profit regulatory board that independently assigns ratings for the interactive entertainment industry, sought to create a mobile solution for consumers wanting more in-depth rating information for a product than what was available on the packaging.
Based on ESRB’s existing database, Haneke Design created a consumer-focused mobile Web site that users can access via their mobile device to evaluate the appropriateness of a product at the point of sale and make more informed purchases. To ensure ease of use, functionality was scaled to provide the most meaningful content, while retaining the look and feel of the organization’s existing brand.
The ESRB is a non-profit, self-regulatory body established in 1994 by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). ESRB independently assigns computer and video game content ratings, enforces advertising guidelines, and helps ensure responsible online privacy practices for the interactive entertainment software industry.
