Target/Speed Racer - Mobile Website
Background: Target stores launched a sweepstakes centered on the new "Speed Racer" movie. The program ran both in digital and traditional media outlets including Target's in-store "Channel Red" television spots, 2M printed lanyards distributed at Indy competitions, and a digital marketing blitz. The campaign included an SMS sweepstakes to win a trip to Japan to attend the 2009 Indy Japan 300 Race, as well as other Target alerts. To enter, fans use their mobile phones to send text messages to Target, containing a special keyword. Solution: Haneke Design was engaged to design and build a website specifically for mobile devices. After the contestants text the keyword to Target, they will be given a special web link to access the site on their handheld device. Technical: Design requirements for the project include xhtml/css best practices: accessible content, simple yet effective and aesthetic design, minimal file sizes, and to be compatible with top selling mobile devices. |
Christina Aguilera campaign for Target
Background: Target stores launched an exclusive mobile-based marketing campaign surrounding the release of Christina Aguilera’s new album "Keeps Gettin' Better." Haneke Design was engaged to create the supporting mobile experience. The reply message provides a link to the mobile website, where the user can download and install the ringtone as well as browse additional information about the new release. The mobile website, created by the Haneke team, was designed for fast response and intuitive usage, and maintained the trusted Target branding. Technical: A device detection protocol was implemented which allowed for content to be adapted to a form best suited for the specific requesting device/browser. Design requirements for the project include xhtml/css best practices: accessible content, simple yet effective and aesthetic design, minimal file sizes, and compatibility with top selling mobile devices. |
Mobile Framerz for Mad Mobile and AT&T Wireless
Background: AT&T Wireless is the largest wireless company in the United States, with more than 72.9 million subscribers and the nation's fastest 3G network. Mad Mobile is a mobile technology firm specializing in delivering mobile applications to cellular providers across the globe. Solution: Mad Mobile enlisted Haneke Design to create an engaging user experience that would allow people to merge their own photos with fun frames. With the application, Mobile Framerz, a user simply sends a photo to a specific short code and then receives their image back in a fun frame. The user can then scale and position their photo within the frame. A version was also created that allows users to access the functionality from their desktop PC browser and send final images by email or by MMS to other mobile phones. This is a service provided to AT&T customers via AT&T's Mobile Storefront from all handsets as well as from AT&T's media mall online via the web. Technical: In addition to designing the standard web experience, Haneke Design designed a mobile website that would allow the user to scale and position photos within a novelty frame. This required a streamlined design that would work consistently across various different handsets. Try it! Send a image from your mobile phone via TXT to short code 5454. |
