Jibe - Java/Swing User Interface Design

Objective: Allow an enterprise user to quickly share local files via a distributed network with other enterprise users.

Solution: A lens metaphor was created allowing the user to quickly select which groups within the organization could access selected files. Additionally, the Jibe desktop brand was established.

Technical: Entirely customized and skinned Java/Swing application.

BodyLogicMD - Web Application User Interface Design

Objective: Design practice management software to run on a tablet PC. The user interface must utilize maximum screen real estate in both landscape and portrait mode. Develop look and feel for easy customization. Create optimal experience for target users: physicians and administrative personnel.

Solution: We performed extensive interviews with MD's and administrators. From this we decided to mimic paper-based workflow to ensure quick user adoption. We also developed collapsible "At-a-Glance" areas that can easily be expanded in portrait mode or collapsed in landscape mode, maximizing the screen real estate regardless of configuration.

Technical: Design was implemented using CSS, DHTML and Javascript in order to create a rich application feel using standard browser compatible code. Backend is Microsoft .NET.

Parses - Web Application User Interface Design

Objective: Re-design existing medical records auditing tool so that the user can better review scanned medical record. Maximize screen real estate regardless of screen resolution.

Solution: Scanned images were loaded into dynamic Macromedia Flash object where the user can take advantage of Flash's native zoom and anti-alias feature. The entire layout was also converted into a flexible table model using percentages. A entirely new desktop-brand was created as well.

Technical: Utilizes advanced HTML, DHTL, Javascript and Macromedia Flash technology. Back-end is Java.

Ascent Controls - BUSINESS PERFORMANCE REPORTING APPLICATION

Objective: Develop reporting tool for Ascent Controls. The application analyzes financial data for businesses and provides metrics on various financial ratios.

Solution: We designed a visual "thermometer" for the user to quickly read and evaluate the state of their business. We also provided a graph that compares the selected company against the industry average.

Technical: The graph was designed in Macromedia Flash and uses dynamic data provided via XML to chart according to the specifics of the selected ratio.

Solution: Haneke Design was hired to design the user experience for the PrintCounts administrative application.

Technical: The interface was developed utilizes CSS and Javascript to deliver a completely fluid screen layout.
