Haneke Design Creates Mobile Retail Experience for HP

share story

More and more consumers are utilizing their mobile devices at the point of sale. In several cases they use their device to perform price comparisons or to locate comparable products based on research of features and functionality. HP wanted a way to engage these consumers at the point of sale in order to guide them in their search for more information.

A complete mobile campaign was developed utilizing text messaging, a mobile Web site and mobile coupons. A point of sale display was set up in stores that provided an opt-in code via text. After sending their text message to a short code, users would receive a confirmation message with a link that drives to the mobile web. Upon visiting the mobile site users could see product reviews, price comparisons and receive mobile coupons.
