HANEKE DESIGN DEVELOPS TAMPA HILLSBOROUGH EDC’S WEBSITE TO SHOWCASE REGION

Tampa Hillsborough EDC websiteThe Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is known for challenging itself and its partners to “Think Big.” The Haneke Design team rose to that challenge when we collaborated with the EDC to design a new website that would showcase the energy and excitement of the Tampa Bay business community and capture the incredible lifestyle we all enjoy here.

“We want the world to know why this region ranks as a Top 20 MSA and one of the most business-friendly locations in the U.S.,” said Rick Homans, president and CEO of the Tampa Hillsborough EDC. “This website is a powerful tool that helps us tell our story and inspires people to come here and experience this community for themselves.”

The new site, developed on the WordPress content management platform, delivers enhanced information about the services provided by the EDC’s Business Development team and its target industries: Defense & Security, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Financial & Professional Services, and Film & Digital Media. It also includes a robust real estate database provides visitors with the opportunity to explore a large inventory of commercial space in the area. Commercial real estate brokers and developers can post their properties to the database as well.

“We were incredibly excited about this project, since Tampa is our hometown and we are huge champions of the companies and talent here,” said Jody Haneke, president of Haneke Design. “For those who’ve never been to Tampa or who don’t have a sense of what this community offers their companies and their people, this web site shows them what it’s like to live, work, and play here. Visiting this site is like taking a virtual tour of Tampa and Hillsborough County.”

The website also includes an entire section dedicated to the EDC’s 100+ investors, who support the work and mission of the EDC. Each investor has a dedicated page that includes a description of the company, a bio and headshot of the investor, and links to the organization’s web site.

“We know that Tampa and Hillsborough County have great companies, talented people, and offer the support growing businesses need to compete and thrive,” said Michelle Bauer, the EDC’s vice president of Marketing & Communications. “We needed an online presence that showcased all of that and more, and that’s exactly what Haneke Design delivered. The team was a pleasure to work with, always going above and beyond to help translate our vision into the web site we have today. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”

A visitor coming to the new website will get a much better sense of what it would be like to relocate their company and employees here. An expanding local business can discover the many ways we can make that process easier and more cost effective. And the images we’ve woven throughout it bring to life the people, places and companies that make this community so special.”

The Tampa Hillsborough EDC’s new web site also features a revamped Data Center with easier-to-access workforce data, economic indicators, quality of life, and demographics reports. In these reports, visitors will be able to find our cost of living index, how many 25 to 34 year olds have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and how many individuals are employed in the manufacturing industry.

A new Media Center was also created, offering press releases, news articles, blog posts, and videos and photos from various community events dating back to 2012.
