HANEKE DESIGN PRESEIDENT AND FOUNDER, JODY HANEKE, INVITED TO JOIN FLORIDA AQUARIUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Jody Haneke, president and founder of Haneke Design, has been invited to serve on the Board of Directors at The Florida Aquarium in downtown Tampa.

Since 1995, The Florida Aquarium has offered its visitors up-close encounters with a variety of both aquatic and terrestrial animal ambassadors. This long-standing fixture of the Tampa Bay area is committed to the conservation of natural ecosystems through inspiration and education of its visitors as well as crucial research and scientific advancements focused on saving wildlife.

Haneke’s involvement with the aquarium began in 2019, when he joined their Marketing and Guest Experience committee. This group’s purpose is to develop strategies for increased awareness of the aquarium and its mission, “to entertain, educate and inspire stewardship of the natural environment.” Since its inception, the committee has succeeded in fortifying marketing efforts, supporting the integration of engaging visitor experiences, and overseeing construction and development projects which enhance on-site facilities.

Haneke offers the Board of Directors proven experience in developing location and attraction-specific technologies. An example of this can be found in the One World Explorer attraction at New York’s One World Observatory. Developed by Haneke Design in 2015, the iPad application offers observatory guests access to a digital guide of New York City, complete with up-close views and virtual tours of the many landmarks visible from the skyline. It remains a popular attraction today, and is an example of the impact that interactive experiences have on visitor satisfaction.

“It is an honor to join so many community leaders on this Board of Directors, as we unite around the common goal of promoting and supporting the efforts of The Florida Aquarium,” said Jody Haneke. “This diverse team has so much experience and insight to offer, and I look forward to working alongside them toward the continued improvement of this fantastic community resource.”
