tbtf-v-bannerJody Haneke, president of Haneke Design, will join four other industry professionals on a panel that will explore how to design compelling, useful, and user friendly mobile applications and web sites that serve the needs of business and consumers. The panel will be featured at the next Tampa Bay Technology Forum Engine Network event on April 16 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the FirstWaVE Venture Center in Tampa.

“Designers and businesses today need to be thinking ‘mobile first’ when it comes to launching new web sites and campaigns,” said Haneke. “Creating a great experience for your customers on every conceivable device and platform – desktop, tablet, or mobile device – is no longer a luxury but a given. As someone who is passionate about this topic and talks about it every day with my clients and team, I am really looking forward to this panel and sharing best practices with my colleagues and the Engine attendees.  It should be a great event.”

Joining Haneke on the panel will be Alfred Goldberg of Absolute IT Solutions, Seth Jacobs of AgileThought, and Pete Slade of Nitro Mobile Solutions.  Justin Davis of Madera Labs will moderate the discussion.

Davis will ask the panelists to share their design processes, what they look for when hiring designers and the qualities that make great ones, their biggest challenges when designing for mobile environments, and what businesses can do to improve the design of their mobile applications and web sites.  Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and share their expertise as well.

The event begins with registration and networking at 6:00 p.m., followed by the panel discussion from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.  The FirstWaVE Venture Center is located at 400 N. Ashley Drive, Suite 200, Tampa.  Parking is available in the Poe Garage on Ashley Street.

TBTF’s Engine Network is dedicated to people who make technology run and regularly convenes designers, developers, and coders to share ideas and create new relationships. Registration for the event is free.  To sign up, please visit the TBTF web site.
