Downtowner Electric Vehicles Connect Downtown Tampa (Video)

Launched in the fall of 2016, Downtowner’s fleet of electric vehicles are lighting up downtown Tampa. Tampa is one of five cities to have this city-funded public transportation. Downtowner is in these cities across the United States:

  • Aspen, CO
  • Tampa, FL
  • Delray Beach, FL
  • Manhattan Beach, CA
  • Newport Beach, CA

This unique, eco-friendly form of transportation connects riders with the vehicles through a mobile app for free, on-demand rides. The user can select a pick-up location and drop-off point in downtown Tampa, Channelside, and even over the bridge to University of Tampa. One of the best parts of this program is that it is completely free for riders!

Scott Strepina, one of our Project Solutions Managers at Haneke Design, takes the Downtowner when visiting clients in the downtown Tampa area. We went with him on one of his excursions. Watch the video here:
