Tampa Bay is home to over 655 Startups, with that number growing each day. The Tampa Bay Tech Forum and Haneke Design share a vision of keeping the local tech community engaged and working together. Hence, the idea for the Emerging Tech Leaders Tampa Bay Meetup Group was born.

Consisting of 17, hand-picked influencers in the Tampa tech world, this group meets monthly in locations across the Tampa Bay area. We hosted the first kick off event at the Haneke Design Studio.

TBTF Emerging Leaders in Tech Group

The focus of this group is to learn from one another the best techniques and share ideas on how to work better together.

“Not only is this a great group of individuals, but we are recognizing that there is power in numbers,” said David LaMarre, Jr., VP of Client Engagement at Haneke Design. “By sharing ideas and resources, we hope to bring velocity to launching projects in the Tampa Bay tech world.”

The start-up world in Tampa is extremely tight knit and extremely unique with its many opportunities to bring young companies together, to learn from each other, as well as industry leaders.

Other local initiatives that are bringing together new companies with establish companies are the AMA Tampa Bay, The Iron Yard, the Tampa Hillsborough EDC, as well as the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. The one thing these organizations have in common is seeing the value in combining forces to cultivate new ideas and bring jobs to the area.

Tampa provides such a unique opportunity to test new markets, that it’s long been referred to as a slice of the entire U.S. population and a microcosm of the entire country.
