APPLE AIRPODS PRO REVIEW: A HIT OR MISS?

Apple, one of the world’s largest Tech Giants, has managed to do it again. They continue to leave us all in awe with their reputation for revolutionary technology, and this time it’s in the realm of true wireless headphones. The new Airpods Pro were just released on October 30th, 2019 and the new features offered in this small pair of Bluetooth earphones definitely live up to the name “Pro”.

Airpods Pro Features: Internal & External

New elements, and even a slightly new look, characterize these earbuds, making the Airpods Pro the market’s new craze. To Airpods owners, this updated version of the famous wireless headphones looks a little bit different, as they have become more “short and stout”. But don’t fret, this change along with the Airpods Pro’s use of silicone tips, coming in three different sizes, allows for a more comfortable earbud that fits perfectly in your ear.

On top of enhanced comfort and an updated design, the secure fit of the new wireless Apple headphones reinforces the sound seal needed for optimal active noise cancellation (ANC), the key new component incorporated into the Airpods Pro; this feature puts them above their predecessor, the Airpods. Apple’s smart technology detects external noise and cancels it out before users can even hear it, allowing for an immersive experience of sound, without interruption from the outside world. Being completely detached from the sounds around you can be of concern for many so Apple has countered this with a “Transparency mode” option allowing for external sounds to filter through while still listening to music, making it safer to listen while on the go.

Because of the new ANC and transparency features, a force sensor has been incorporated into the arms of the earbuds and with just a squeeze, you can easily switch between the two modes. If this wasn’t enough for a heightened sound quality experience, Apple has also introduced “Adaptive EQ”, which uses an internal mic to detect how your ear canal affects the music and then adapts it to something as close as possible to the original sounds.
