Security breaches are the bane of every company’s existence. Now that data and applications are moving to the cloud, use of social networks in the workplace is increasing, and employees, contractors, and visitors are accessing company networks with mobile devices, the risk of a devastating security incident has never been higher. For Digital Hands, one of the nation’s top providers of IT security operations services, handling these issues is as natural as breathing. Communicating their story with a compelling brand and high impact online presence, however, was a challenge – until they began collaborating with Haneke Design to reinvent the way they present themselves to the world.
“We have carved out a highly valuable niche for ourselves as custom security operations specialists, quietly assuming responsibility for our clients’ infrastructure and informational assets and wiping out threats before anyone knew they existed,” said Charlotte Baker, CEO of Digital Hands. “But our web site – designed during a different phase in our industry – didn’t communicate any of those things powerfully or visually. The Haneke Design team has done a masterful job of highlighting our unique competencies, showing what we do clearly and effectively. They’ve given us an image that fits with our reputation and aligns with our expertise.”
Haneke Design began the Digital Hands makeover with a new logo and design concept built around the company’s “Day 2 Operations” expertise. Day 2 Operations refers to the time after a company’s systems have been installed and the implementation team has packed up and left, leaving the company to sort out ongoing security of informational assets, proactive enterprise management to ensure constant availability of all systems, and service desk support. Digital Hands assumes responsibility for all of these areas. To explain this aspect of their business, Haneke Design developed an animation that concisely communicates it, and puts this capability front and center on the web site.
“Our goal with this web site was to define the functional business divisions as they relate to Day 2 Operations, and communicate these things effectively to the Digital Hands customer, prospect, and partner universe,” said Jody Haneke, president of Haneke Design. “We relied on infographics and a branding video to get the job done and create a visually appealing presentation.”
The web site, www.digitalhands.com, is also formatted for the mobile web so that viewers can have an optimal browsing experience regardless of the device on which they are viewing it.
