Haneke Design, a leading mobile applications developer, today announced that it has been selected by the Norman Parathyroid Center to help develop a line of mobile health applications. Led by James (Jim) Norman, MD, an internationally renowned expert on parathyroid disease and calcium metabolism, the Norman Parathyroid Center at Tampa General Hospital is home to the most experienced parathyroid surgeons in the world.

The mobile applications Haneke Design is building will be available for both smartphones and tablets. The first release is centered on calcium problems and hyperparathyroidism. Subsequent apps will be designed specifically for osteoporosis, vitamin D deficiency, and finally kidney stones. All of the apps will be released in multiple languages to improve the health of persons in nearly every country.
The apps will be among the most advanced medical apps released to date, providing patients with numerous interactive graphs that make understanding of complex medical issues quite simple. Dr. Norman and his team are uniquely positioned to take a leadership role in the development of mobile apps in this field, as they have amassed millions of pieces of data on tens of thousands of patients which will be exploited within the app software.
