Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate

Microsoft certifications are some of the most highly recognizable in the IT industry.

Microsoft Azure logoThe Microsoft Azure Developer Associate certificate covers cloud services for meeting business organizational challenges. With Azure, you’ll build, manage, and deploy scalable, highly available, and performant web applications.

As a prerequisite, it is recommended that you have basic Microsoft technology and software development knowledge.

The certification consists of 40-60 questions.

AWS Certified Developer – Associate

The AWS Certified Developer – Associate Level is for software engineers who design, build, and run applications on the AWS platform.

The certification exam is 65 questions long, and the questions are multiple choice or multiple response.

For more advanced developers, AWS also offers a DevOps Engineer – Professional certificate.

Google Professional Cloud Developer

Google is perhaps the most recognizable name in cloud computing.

While there are no required prerequisites, Google recommends 3+ years of industry experience including 1+ years designing and managing solutions using Google Cloud.

The certification exam is 50 questions long, and the questions are multiple choice or multiple selection.

Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)

This certificate is a one-stop shop for understanding all there is to know regarding software engineering.

While there are no prerequisites required for registration, it’s recommended that candidates seeking this certification should have completed a minimum of two years of college education in computer science or equivalent in a related field and two years of relevant experience in industry.

The certification exam is 160 questions long.

C Programming Language Certified Associate (CLA)

This certificate is offered by the C++ Institute and targets those looking to learn the programming language C.

C++ Institute logoThis is an extremely helpful certificate for software developers and engineers, and a large majority of other courses require a certificate in C.

The certification exam is 55 questions long, and the questions are single-choice and multiple-choice.

The C++ Institute also offers professional level certificates in C if you already have a knowledge of the programming language.

Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)

This certificate is offered by the Cybersecurity Organization (ISC)² and has a special focus on security.

There are no prerequisites for the CCSLP, but it does expect advanced application security skills from its participants.

The exam has 175 multiple choice questions.
