HANEKE DESIGN’S REINVENTION OF TAMPA HILLSBOROUGH EDC WEB SITE CAPTURES AVA GOLD

Nothing says ‘Happy New Year’ quite like getting the word that your work has earned prestigious international award recognition. We came back from the holiday break to discover that the web site we designed and developed in collaboration with the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has been chosen as a Gold award winner in the Association category of the 2016 AVA Digital Awards.

The Awards are sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization of several thousand production, marketing, communication, advertising, and public relations professionals honors outstanding professional achievement and service to the profession. The EDC web site was selected as a winner from among hundreds of submissions worldwide. Check out the list of all the winners here.

Since launching in June 2015, the web site has gained recognition as one of the best in the economic development industry. Development Counsellors International (DCI) ranked the Tampa Hillsborough EDC’s new web site among the top ten percent of economic development web sites nationwide. Last year, the web site was honored with a Gold MarCom Award and a Silver Davey Award, two other prestigious international programs.

The custom WordPress web site Haneke Design created for the Tampa Hillsborough EDC delivers enhanced information about the services provided by the EDC’s Business Development team and its target industries: Defense & Security, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Financial & Professional Services, and Film & Digital Media. It also includes a robust real estate database provides visitors with the opportunity to explore a large inventory of commercial space in the area. Commercial real estate brokers and developers can post their properties to the database as well.

The web site also includes an entire section dedicated to the EDC’s 100+ investors, who support the work and mission of the organization. Each investor has a dedicated page that includes a description of the company, a bio and headshot of the investor, and links to the organization’s web site.
The Tampa Hillsborough EDC’s new web site also features a robust Media Center and revamped Data Center with easier-to-access workforce data, economic indicators, quality of life, and demographics reports. In these reports, visitors will be able to find our cost of living index, how many 25 to 34 year olds have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and how many individuals are employed in the manufacturing industry.
